360 Degree Method Analysis for Employee Performance Assessment in Human Resource Management Information Systems

Abstract


The Human Resources Management Information System or HR SIM is used to organize the management of human resource management in the company that supports the decision-making process, starting from the recruitment and recruitment process, employee performance appraisals and other procedures such as leave, retirement to training. Employee Performance Assessment aims to enable companies to evaluate and develop the performance of their employees. The problem in the process of evaluating employee performance is that errors often occur where the assessment carried out is considered not objective and the results are still in doubt. This is because the assessment is carried out based on estimates and is only seen from one side of the appraiser, namely the supervisor, so there are no other considerations when conducting the assessment. Another problem with this assessment process is that there are no criteria and requirements for evaluating employee performance because only employee attendance is the criteria used for assessment. The 360-degree method is a job appraisal method that allows employees to get appraisals from all directions, from superiors, subordinates and co-workers. This method makes it easier for the managerial side to evaluate employees in the form of promotion decisions, demotions, transfers, giving bonuses, providing training and giving directions. From the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that this method can be used for the process of evaluating employee performance and can also assist the company in obtaining recommendations for more objective assessment results.
